"Looking for a night out for a 3rd date with my new fella, we stumbled accross Bar Room Bar, what a lovely place, my only criticism being that we waited a whole 20 minutes at the bar before we were served, however you can't fault the bar staff as the bar was 3 people deep & there was only one guy serving, whats all that about???

Anyway, being as the bar was heaving & we couldn't see anywhere to sit, apart from on the edge of the spinning piano (think we might of drawn attention to ourselves, don''t you), we walked to the end of the bar & happened upon a fab little separate area with tables surrounded by long black drapes & candlelight, how romantic is that, although I was a bit worried that my date thought maybe I looked better in soft lighting.

One bottle of Budweiser & a double vodka & coke was £9:90, which isn''t too bad considering the prices in some other not so great venues.

Will definitley being going back."

"Generally buzzing with resting shoppers and post work drinkers earlier the crowd is generally a nice mix enjoying the chilled atmosphere of the place as well as sampling the great food. Enjoyable most days of the week, Tuesdays are definitely worth checking out as the offer of '2 for 1' pizzas is hard to resist with half of Brum and it's mother turning up to sample the delicious pizzas and enjoy a drink by the canalside (weather permitting!). Tuesdays however are becoming so popular, that you are well advised to get there early as you may have quite a wait. No one seems to mind though as everyone takes the opportunity to enjoy a tipple and catch up with the regulars. You are also issued with a portable gizmo that vibrates vigorously when your food is ready (always a bonus!) oh.and the pizzas taste great too!"
