By far the worst restaurant i have ever been to in my life. I have been there 3-4 times - none of them through choice, i hasten to add. The last time was booked by a friend for her birthday and she did text everyone to ask if her choice of restaurant was ok but unfortunately, she didn't get my reply informing her of quite how bad it was. The food is inedible. I ordered spagetti carbonara and it turned up with a couple of rogue looking objects in it. I asked the waiter what they were and he came back from the kitchen to tell me they were mussels. So i think cross contamination is the key here. He didn't even bat an eyelid that carbonara didn't contain mussels. No apology or reduction from the bill even though i refused to eat it and sent it back. I didn't dare order a replacement. On another occasion, we were in the basement which was flooded and there was an inch of water on the floor by the time we'd left. Another occasion, they took 1hr 30mins to bring our meal and when it did turn up, one of the mains was a risotto which was made with standard white rice - not risotto rice. Generally vile, will never go back, don't recommend it, people only go there is Ponta di Legno round the corner is fully booked - which is always is. Warm wine, bad service, rude waiters, horrible food and overpriced. All in all, i have no idea how it is still in business.

This is the worst place to eat on earth, if i ever want to get poisoned, i would rather have it straight on the rocks.
Went there on friday with my GF and my mother. My GF ordered a Pasta Carbonara and my mother a lasagnia, poor me ordered a pizza, just a pizza and for starters, i got the cheese with pesto, which was soggy and tasted like eating grass. My GF ordered aubergenes wich was salty and way too much garlic, as if the chef thought of us as vampires or something.
My mother had mussels as starter and also same shit hits the bucket as she was about to eat, when she discovered that the mussels weren't properly cleaned and contained their so called beards still attached, i mean what the hell, is this?
When i complained they told me they will deduct it from my bill, and was offered free wine... this got to be a joke innit.
I just told them forget the mains i am paying up and leaving and want nothing to have with this restaurant eva after, and still after saying that, there little arogant chef got the guts to tell me "by by" sounded like F**K Off.
I dined there in the begining with a friend of mine when they said they are new opening and food was excellent and they had an italain chef..... now, it is worse than your worst fish and chips eva to have in yer entire life, and they have some new chef not even an italian, and when i asked about him, they told me " oh, our previous chef has left and we got a better one this time"... better one? you mean the worst one..
I would never ever recommend this place to any human being...
Wouldn't take animals either there

I completely agree, I dined here with 9 friends and it was absolutely appalling service, it was a Saturday night, people say well you should have booked and there was a big group of you, but the only reason you have to book is because everybody else does, how do I know I want to eat there 3 days in advance you know! Anyway, they didn't give us extra cutlery, nor did they ask if our meals were ok, or ask if we wanted extra drinks. My meal wasn't ok, they forgot to bring it. We were shoved down in the basement, fine, it was kind of cool, a bit different you know, but the stairs far too steep. No words of apology for not bringing my dinner, no offer of free drinks or deserts - nothing. We complained to the manager about the service, he didn't care either, just banged on about in England you want your dinner in 10 minutes, in Italy we dine properly, we take all evening for a meal. I didn't want my dinner in 10 minutes, I was quite happy to sit for a while, chat with my friends, enjoy the night, but to not get any dinner when my friends had already all finished there's is a bit of a joke. I had heard bad reviews, but I thought I�d give them a chance. Never again.

I used to be a regular customer here but not any more. Service is appalling, food goes from very poor to average - that's when they can get it right. Don't even bother complaining - they don't care! My advice don't bother!

i have never written a restaurant review before but feel compelled to here to make sure others dont have the same experience as my girlfriend and i. Firstly an italian restaurant without any pinot grigio? Then a waiter with hallitosis followed by a 45 minute wait for a warm prawn cocktail that my stomach hasn't yet recovered from. The last straw for me was when my 'medium' steak arrived looking like it had spent most of the afternoon under the grill and was accompanied by veg that had a similar temperature to a walls solero. At this point i complained and said i wanted to leave. I was then made to feel like i had been done a favour by not having to pay for the mains! Worst restaurant experience i have ever had. Disgusting.

After mulling around over a choice of restaurant in Moseley we stumbled across Little Italy, we were out celebrating Juniors acceptance into the porn industry...we always knew he would make it big! The food was great the atmosphere was lousy and the man across the table from us was giving my wife the eye!

I have heard mixed reviews of this place and after driving thru moseley village yesterday night I thought I would see for myself. I went with my 8 year old son who was celebrating getting into the England under 9's lacrosse team this week. We both went straight into the main courses, i had spaghetti alla bolognese and Patrick has Grilled sea bass with spinach. Oh my gosh it was delightful! The staff were very attentive and could'nt have been nicer. I saw that it is under new managment so it looks like this place is turning things around. I shall be going back with my wife miriam in june.TOP MARKS!

I agree, Little Italy used to be a lovely, friendly, good value, bring your own alcohol restaurant that did great food. We booked a Valentine's Day table this year but walked out as sardines doesn't even begin to describe it, the menu looked nothing special & the jazz band they'd advertised weren't there, & when we politely said to the 'manager' how let down we felt, as someone else on this website said, he was rude. As formerly regular customers we finally ventured back there recently and I had a less than average lasagne. We really don't feel inclined to go again - a real shame...

I had a meal booked for last weds night to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday.When Helen (my wife) walked through the door she had 4 waiters singing happy birthday to her whilst holding sparklers and balloons. The manager made sure that we had a bottle of Champers (complementary) and the special treatment to guarantee the night was a success. I cannot fault the place...Just wait til you have tried the fish!

Visited Little Italy last night with 5 friends and would never go back there again. The place was cold, wine was warm, I had the worst bruchetta ever! The salads with meal were awful and the pasta dishes tasteless only 1 person out of 6 had an ok meal. When we complained the manager was rude and agressive. Don't go there!
