to the person below who is new & just posted one nasty review on here all i'll say is if the regulars were laughing at you then you must have been behaving like a prat. theres a lot of competition & bar promoters who like to put nasty reviews on other bars which is quite dumb. suffice to say i'm a regular and if its good enough to win awards and be where catering and bar staff like us have chosen to hang out for aaages then its definetly a good bar.

i think people are smart enough to go and check it out for themselves

We entered half way down the stairs to be asked to pay £5on the promise we could drink to 7am.Great we thought and we enetered to normalcity centre priced drinks until 2:30 am. On aproach to the bar we were told that the bar was closed and that not even soft drinks were to be sold. I asked for the manager who on arrival was apologetic but dismissisive and told us to speak to the door staff who took our cash on the way in.

When questioned he laughed and said "what you think you are going to get your money back?" I stated our case that we paid our £5 for entry in order to be able to drink until 7am. At 2:45am we were told the bar was closed at that we should leave. On our way out I questoned the doorman again whether we could  have our entry fee back.I was faced with not only the door but 2 bouncers, the manager and  the REGULAR punters at the door.

I said "if you were nice people you would give us our entry fee back". After much laughter from staff and their regular folk the manager looked at me and said, and I qupte word for word- " WE ARE NOT NICE PEOPLE!" he handed me a £10 note which I refused to take and left to laughter from his little, spineless friends.

I WOULD NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN AND WOULD ONLY SUGGEST THAT YOU AVOID THIS BAR FULL STOP. FRIENDLEY ON THE WAY IN- TAKE YOURMONET AND FORCE YOU OUT!. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!

Red bar & lounge has a bijou cocktail bar. It's a stylish bar - it always has great music, yummy cocktails, mouth-watering food.

Most of the crowd are young professionals so single ladies like moi usually have a suave man offering to buy them a drink.

It's a great place to relax and mingle. The drinks are to die for & its my favourite bar in brum - i love it.

This place gets spoken about in hushed tones, shhh. We ventured there at 8pm on a sunny Tuesday eve, unfortunately it was empty. I suppose no one in their right mind would want to be in a basement when the sun is out. The word is though that this is a late night drinker, the place to go to when others close.

Anyway the bar was as you would expect:“red”, and there is little more to be said really. I will return some time when I fancy an after hours drink to get a real taste of Red.

A small bijou cocktail bar, that is a favourite of those in the know. It’s a temple to smooth, a comforting mix of reds, low tables and cream. The Cocktails are some of the best in Brum and the atmosphere here are veer from lounge cool to riotous party, depending on what night to go. Tiny but well formed.
